Lori, your photographs are absolutely beautiful! I especially liked the seal (or is it a sea lion?) and the jellyfish, although they are all wonderful.

Thank you. I believe this is a California Sea Lion. The docent said his name is Parker.

This is just a perfect display. The Lion Fish (is that what that bottom picture is?) is not only beautiful, but the angle of the shot is great. And the little stripey guys make a wonderful composition. But the jelly is my favorite. It looks like you created it in Photoshop, it’s that perfect. (That’s a compliment!)

Actually, the spiny fish is a Turkey Fish, but is a close cousin the the Lion Fish and is very toxic. Thank you for the compliment– nothing here was created except by the Maker’s hand although I did apply the Sharpen filter to some of these to correct the resolution of my cheapo camera. Alas, it is time that I save my money and get a better camera

How nice to dip into the underwater world! These were so refreshing, Lori. The blog looks great too.

These images are utterly amazing given that you are saying you used a cheapo camera. Saving for a really good camera sounds like a very good thing to do. Just think what you will be able to achieve. And this whole blog looks just marvellous.

What an amazingly beautiful world! The colors are so intense. You did a good job, too, of not catching the relections from the glass- not too bad for a “cheapo” camera, but of course it’s not the camera, it’s the talented photographer behind the camera. Great job, Lori.

Magnificent images, Lori. I’d be hard put if I had to choose one of them as the best. Wonderful work, m’dear.

Regarding the reflections, it was difficult at times to position myself so that reflections were not in the way.

Lori, what lovely photos. Wouldn’t it be fun to decorate a whole room with this series? And such spectacular colors. I think underwater creatures out rival land animals, both in variety and in exotic-ness. (Is that a word?) By the way last month I finally saved enough money to purchase a digital SLR during a super sale. I love my camera, although I’m still at the experimantation stage.
